There is a club in the 900 block of East 79th Street. This is where the shooting took place. But reports on this incident did not provide the club’s name.

When:

Sunday, June 16, 2013, at a little after midnight

Note: There are some time issues with this article, which said that Wood was declared dead at the hospital at 12:04 in the morning. Either that time is wrong, or the shooting occurred before midnight. The Chicago Tribune reported that the shooting was actually at about 10:12 p.m., on Saturday the 15th, with the victim being declared dead at about 45 minutes after midnight (Sunday the 16th).

Victims:

Todd Wood was the victim shot and killed in this club shooting. He was 40 years old and lived in Chicago, in the 8100 block of South St. Lawrence Avenue.

3 other victims were shot. Their names and medical statuses were not available.

Suspect:

No suspects were identified in the reports of this crime.

Motive:

Police believe that some kind of argument outside the club spilled over into the club, by way of someone opening the door and shooting.
