Chicago, Illinois Crime News Video: Jeremy Morris Shot And Killed On South Paxton Avenue

One man has been shot and killed while sitting in a car, in Chicago, Illinois. This incident occurred in the South Shore community. The Chicago Tribune and WGN have published videos on this crime story. See those links at the bottom of this article.

6800 block of South Paxton Avenue

When:

Friday, July 12, 2013, at about 10:30 at night

Victim:

Jeremy Morris was 25 years old. He lived in Chicago, in the 5000 block of South Champlain Avenue.

Suspects And Motive:

Witnesses say two men approached Morris’s car as he was sitting inside of it. They opened fire, shooting him multiple times. The exact motive for the shooting was not clear. The only thing reported about the suspects is that they fled the crime scene in a dark-colored car.

After reporting on these stories for about a year now, one thing I can say about Chicago is DON’T sit and wait around inside a car for anything. It’s like a death trap in this city.
