Chicago, Illinois Crime News Video: 8 Victims Shot, With Terry Patterson Killed, On West Flournoy Street

A crazy shooting into a crowd by two suspects has resulted in 8 victims being shot. Terry Patterson was the one victim to be killed. No one has been arrested yet in this mass shooting.

2800 block of West Flournoy Street (Lawndale neighborhood)

When:

Saturday, July 6, 2013 (some time in the early evening)

Victims:

Terry Patterson was 48 or 49 years old (there were slight differences in age reporting among articles on this story).

7 unnamed victims were shot, with all of them taken to the hospital. On the day of the shooting, WGN reported that 4 of these victims were in critical condition.

Suspects:

About all that was reported was that two men drove up and started shooting at a group of people. No personal or vehicle description was provided.

Motive:

The motive is not known at this time. But police are looking into the possibility of a gang-related shooting that may have also been a case of mistaken identity.
