CBS Local Crash Video For Los Angeles: Malibu, California And Pacific Coast Highway: 15-Year-Old Roman Jimenez Killed In 3-Car Accident

CBS Local for Los Angeles (KCAL) has released a video of a deadly 3-car crash that took the life of 15-year-old Roman Jimenez. The accident occurred on Saturday, October 27, 2012, at about 8 in the morning. It cause the Pacific Coast Highway (PCH) to close down for a while for an investigation and cleanup of the deadly scene.

Cause:

The SUV occupied by Jimenez (he was a passenger, not the driver) reportedly had a tire blowout. This caused the vehicle to cross the center line. There was then a chain reaction that caused two other SUV’s to get involved in the crash.

Victims:

15-year-old Roman Jimenez is the only one reported to have died in this video (the actual name was released on the video caption). 3 other unnamed victims suffered injuries.

Criminal Issues:

Although the investigation continues, this appears to be a terrible accident due to a tire blowing out, not a criminal incident.
