Carrollton, Georgia Accident News: 8-Year-Old William Randall Garrett Struck And Killed By Pickup Truck In Adamson Square

WSBTV.com is reporting that 8-year old William Randall Garrett was struck and killed by a pickup truck inĀ Adamson Square, which is located in Carrollton, Georgia. This fatal accident occurred on Saturday, October 27, 2012. Adamson Square is a business area in downtown Carrollton, GA.

Cause:

William was walking along Newnan Street. Apparently, he was near but not in a crosswalk. That is when he was hit by the pickup.

After that, the facts get scarce because there don’t seem to be any witnesses as to exactly what happened. And according to WSBTV.com, family members that were there would not give a statement. The driver, whose name was not released, stopped and cooperated. So this is not a hit-and-run incident. But whether the driver is charged with any crimes will depend on the results of the investigation. But at this point, it would be near impossible to find a credible witness because such person would have left the scene of an accident with a small kid being run over without offering information.
