Friday, August 16, 2013, at about 2:15 in the morning

Victim:

Thevenin Ledan Terrell was 19 years old. He lived in Canton, on Brad Avenue SE.

Cause:

Terrell lost control, ran off the road, and hit a utility pole and tree. According to CantonRep.com, this teen has a history of at least one high-speed chase with police. That occurred back in May of this year. He ended up pleading guilty to cocaine possession. However, toxicology tests have not been completed yet, which will determine whether he was driving under the influence at the time of this crash. Terrell was not wearing a seat belt. Speed might have been a contributing factor, according to what police told CantonRep.com.
