Tom Bonham is a 65-year-old puppeteer. He auditioned in St. Louis for America’s Got Talent 7. Tom did not make it to the Las Vegas audition round.
This act was so bad that it actually made me laugh. Tom had a table set up with the puppets. But instead of doing a puppet show from behind a curtain or using a sock puppet or whatever, he just stood there and moved the puppets with black handles that were attached to them. Meanwhile, he was singing some song while moving them. It reminded me of some little kid playing with dolls.
I swear, the audition was so bad that it actually made me laugh. So instead of an F, I’ll give it a C- for the comedy effect. The only thing I don’t know is whether Tom Bonham was in on his own joke or actually thought that this audition passed as a puppet show. Hilarious stuff, Tom. But you don’t belong in the Las Vegas round of America’s Got Talent 7.
