America’s Got Talent 7 Audition and Predictions For Human Cannonball David Smith, Jr. At The Austin Auditions

America’s Got Talent opened the 4th week of its 7th season with an auditions episode from Austin, Texas. One of the standout acts was David Smith, Jr., who did a Human Cannonball performance.

All of the judges said that they loved this act. It’s almost hilarious that they pretend to be so shocked by the act. Circuses have had human cannonballs forever.

Of course, David got three YESES and will do the same old thing again in Las Vegas. This act seems like the epitome of an act that can’t raise the bar in later performances. What is David going to do next time? This reminds me of that guy who jumped from up in the air into a kiddie wading pool last season. Yeah, it’s impressive. But it gets stale really fast.

And I think this Human Cannonball is pure science, not performance talent. That is just not the kind of talent that ever wins America’s Got Talent. I can easily predict that, if he makes the voting rounds, the public will get tired of a Human Cannonball act really fast. It’s great that David can make a living off of this act. But he will not win AGT 7 because the act won’t be able to step it up to another level. If you have seen the act once, you have seen it 1000 times.
