The following ABC crime news video discusses the story of hazing that crosses the line into criminal behavior. The incident in question took place at A.B. Miller High School, which is in Fontana, California. The video was uploaded to the ABC website on June 25, 2012.
Fernando Salgado is an 18-year-old student. He is charged with assault, attempted sodomy, and child cruelty. He is alleged to have committed these crimes in a summer-school class.
Unfortunately, a teacher has also come under suspicion for this hazing incident. He is A.B. Miller High’s masonry teacher. Emmanuel De La Rosa was arrested for child endangerment. It is not clear whether he directed any of the hazing, but police say he was at least aware of what was going on and let it happen.
The allegations are that there were three victims and that Salgado had three juvenile offenders engaging in the hazing assaults with him. The police are not elaborating because of the ongoing investigation. Salgado’s name was released because he is considered an adult. And of course the teacher is an adult.
