2012 London Summer Olympics Schedule For Women’s Beach Volleyball

The 2012 London Olympics will have both men’s and women’s beach volleyball. Unlike tennis or badminton or similar sports, there is no singles competition in the beach volleyball Olympic events. Rather, each team has two people. Teammates play through several preliminary matches until they reach the bracket round.

Use the following schedule if you plan on watching the women’s beach volleyball for the 2012 London Summer Olympic Games. The venue for the London women’s beach volleyball games is Horse Guards Parade, which is on the doorstep of the Prime Minister’s residence, which is located in central London.

Schedule For Preliminary Matches:

The women’s beach volleyball has several days of preliminary matches. They start on Saturday, July 28, 2012. The preliminaries wrap up on Thursday, August 2, 2012.

Schedule For Bracket Round:

1. The 2012 London women’s beach volleyball bracket rounds start with the Round of 16. They start on Friday, August 3, 2012, with 4 matches on the 3rd and the other 4 matches on Saturday, August 4, 2012. The daily matches start at 9:00 a.m., 10:00 a.m., 5:00 p.m., and 6:00 p.m.

2. The next round is the quarterfinals. There are four matches on Sunday, August 5, 2012. The start times are 6:00 p.m., 7:00 p.m., 10:00 p.m., and 11:00 p.m.

3. The semifinals are on Tuesday, August 7, 2012. The first match is at 5:00 p.m. The second is at 9:00 p.m.

4. The 2012 London Olympics women’s beach volleyball medal matches are on Wednesday, August 8, 2012. The bronze medal match is at 7:00 p.m. The gold medal match is at 9:00 p.m.
